Went prepared to make deposit on 3 bikes and gear, and was very pleased by the great attention, knowledge and time that Paul and his colleagues took to help us find just what we needed. I caught the bike riding bug while with friends on vacation in January. Upon my return to Connecticut, I researched bike shops and found my way to Pedal Power in Middletown. Katie was super helpful on my first visit. From the start, I felt like her goal was to get me on a bike that was right for me. She asked good questions about use, purpose, lifestyle, and goals. Then she used that information to show me some options. One week later when I returned to try out more bikes, Bill walked me through to my final purchase. Everyone was patient. They allowed me to ask a bunch of questions, test road a few bikes and two hours later I was driving home with my new bike. Bill even helped me pick out a trainer to use for the winter months. While I was waiting on my bike to be ready to take home, the young man (sorry forgot his name) helped me look for trails at local state parks where I could take my type of bike. All in all, for a novice, this bike shop, more specifically the friendly and helpful people, made it easy for me to start my new hobby of bike riding. Thanks Pedal Power!
