I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this store. There are hardly any book stores nowadays other than Barnes & Noble, so I'm excited about the Wesleyan book store. It brings a bit of variety to the book scene with a unique and refreshing selection of reading material. Staff recommendations are on display accompanied with handwritten notes about each selection, which brings a personal touch to your browsing experience. There's a small coffee shop in the store, so you can buy a latte to sip on while you browse, or you can find a chair to enjoy your coffee while you indulge in a book. Outdoor seating is also available. Downstairs offers a quiet space for students to study or get some reading done. The staff is very friendly and seem to enjoy working there. For book lovers, Wesleyan book store offers the ultimate book store experience. If you're passing by, stop in and take a look around so you can see for yourself!
A really nice book store with a cafe and seating. And busy when I was there, which was nice to see.
Nice bookstore. Over friendly employees. I like to browse and not be asked by everyone, do I need help. Found a nice present all by myself and I wasn't even looking for one.
The stores design and furnishings is very open, inviting and comfortable. The downstairs area is a great place to relax and read. The coffee is good, and the baked goods are amazing. The only thing I would caution people about is the food. It's very tasty, but the portion sizes are a little small and the price feels outrageous. If it wasn't for how amazing the baked goods are and at such a reasonable price, I would have deducted a star for that reason.
What a great atmosphere at this bookstore. We were just passing through, but despite being a college town this place was relaxing. Not super loud or quiet, had a coffee bar upstairs and a study area downstairs. Lots of variety in the types of books you can purchase. Enjoyed looking at the large selection. Would visit again.
