I have been a customer for close to 30 years. I needed a two day supply of 3 medications as they were left out of state. I was charge $32.52 for a 4 day supply even though I had asked for only 2 days. When I said I only needed a 2-day supply, they offered to reduce the bill by $4. I understand it was over a weekend, but the price gouging is ridiculous! It was only 5 pills! They aren't that expensive when I purchase 30-60 day supply! Didn't expect that kind of service or treatment.
It was a great experience. From check in until check out. The staff was very helpful and understanding. They are always there for us in good times and bad. We have been going to them for more than 20 years. Our cats seem to love going to see Dr March, especially Cuddles. He takes great care of cats. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
The facility is very nice, and everyone was welcoming. The doctor was friendly and helped comfort my (unusually nervous) dog. I'll certainly be back.
My baby girl was in ICU and wasn't eating. They cooked up chicken for her. Bless their hearts. Wonderful people.
My husband and his family had been using this vet for many many years. Unfortunately it appears as though they may have gotten too big too fast. We feel as though our dog may have been lost in the shuffle and because of that, his undiagnosed tumor that had developed in his nose had gone completely unnoticed. We brought him to a vet that is much closer to us to find out that a tumor had done such severe damage to his nose and skull that our only option was to put him to sleep. Over the course of four years and multiple visits to Pieper, with both my husband and I describing Tiki's sneezing fits both reverse and outward, it had been dismissed as allergies and to continue use of benadryl as a treatment. About two years ago Tiki had collapsed and we brought him in again and was told he has a heart murmur and that he may have had a stroke. I mentioned the constant sneezing fits again as well as gagging and that when he breathed through his nose he sounded congested. Again it was dismissed as allergies. Fast forward to a few months ago, Tiki had another sneezing fit but this time he started bleeding profusely through his nose. We rushed him to Pieper, waited forty five minutes for a doctor to finally come in the room, we proceeded to tell him of Tiki's history and what had occured that morning (by now the bleeding had subsided). Without examining Tiki, not even bothering to take off his stethoscope to listen to his heart the doctor tells us that he thinks it could be a foreign object in his nose but firmly believes it may be cancer. He leaves then comes back about half an hour later with a list of diagnostics, not a single form of treatment, that would cost us upwards of $600 and proceeds to try to sell us on each of them. Then he leaves again for another half hour so that my husband and I can discuss what we want to do. We were absolutely stunned at the lack of compassion and care that our dog who remained on the floor unexamined and ourselves received. My husband felt like he was getting a sales pitch rather than medical care. We left the room and paid $150 just for the doctor to sit and hand us a price list. Shortly thereafter Tiki started suffering from seizures. We scheduled Tiki for an appointment with our local vet, and within minutes the Doctor prescribed a course of action that contained both a possible solution and diagnostics. When we were asked how his very clear respiratory issues were treated and we told her that it was dismissed as allergies and to continue daily use of benadryl for four years she was aghast. I firmly believe had we not been dismissed for four years and told that this was just allergies, not to mention the seizures being misdiagnosed as a stroke, a more agressive form of action and care could have been taken and we would still have our beloved Tiki. It is a shame that this once wonderful vet has become an oversized money machine.
